Chinese mainland records 331 new confirmed COVID-19 cases

The Chinese mainland recorded 331 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Thursday, with 312 linked to local transmissions and 19 from overseas, data from the National Health Commission showed on Friday.
A total of 2,201 new asymptomatic cases were also recorded on Thursday, and 70,770 asymptomatic patients remain under medical observation.
Confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland now number 221,289, with the total death toll from COVID-19 at 5,205.
The latest tally of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan region is as follows:
Hong Kong: 331,468 (60,972 recoveries, 9,356 deaths)
Macao: 82 (82 recoveries)
Taiwan: 570,870 (13,742 recoveries, 968 deaths)
